The Public Library of Anniston-Calhoun County hosts regular movie screenings. These events are FREE to attend and open to the public, making them a highly accessible and well-loved part of our programming. Popcorn and drinks are available for a nominal fee to help cover food costs. Each screening requires proper film licensing and may include additional expenses for purchasing or streaming titles, as well as providing refreshments.

At the Public Library, teens ages 13-17 have a safe, welcoming space to connect, create, and explore new interests. Every month, we host FREE programs that spark creativity, build friendships, and encourage lifelong learning-activities.

Each June and July, the Library hosts engaging Summer Reading Programs for Children, Teens, and Adults - encouraging a lifelong love of reading through fun, FREE activities for the entire community. Sponsorship of these programs helps us keep them FREE and accessible to all. It costs approximately $9,000 each year to fund all our summer reading programs.
